Cwmbran Modelling Society

Chairpersons Competition

RETURN to HOME PAGE  |

Well 2008 has arrived, the first club meeting of the year is the night the society holds its Chairpersons competition. The competition is open to all Club members; they may enter as many marine craft as they like. The members present then select what they deem to be the best models on display. As with other years the number of craft on display was a little disappointing considering the number of well made model boats that tend to be displayed when the society attends organised events and even on display at our own Open Day.

Ken won both the SHIELD and CUP with the two boats he entered but being a good sport with drew his second place model allowing some one else a chance to win the cup. As you can see by the photographs, your scribe of these web pages won the CUP by default.

Ken actually won the SHEILD and the CUP with his entries

Being a good sport he withdrew his second place boat from the competition to give some one else a chance.

As you can see your scribe by default won the CUP

If the number of entries exceeds the number of prizes then your left with runner-ups. Congratulations to the following entrants for turning up with models on the night.

As you can see from the photograph below we had more people present than boat entries
