The Team

Choir Profile M.D and Accomp.

The choir was re-named in July 2004, and at the same time appointed a new Musical Director Mr. Lyn Weaver.

The choir is formed with ladies from within the County Borough of Torfaen they rehearse in the schoolroom of the Congregational Church Griffithstown near Pontypool every Monday evening at 7.00pm.

The choir has a varied repetoire from the classics to music from the shows, they are justly proud of the help they have been able to give, in raising money for various charities local and nationally.

The annual concert in September 2011 with The Rhymney Silurian Male Choir raised 600 pounds for the MacMillan Nurses and was a wonderful night of song and laughter with compere Mike Gough leading the proceedings.

The next  public engagement is at 1pm appearance on the big stage at Cwmbran Boating Lake as part of the Big Event Finale on  Saturday 9th June 2012.

The annual  concert  is 7pm on  Saturday 8th September at Llanyravon Methodist Church, Cwmbran with guest choir from Liverpool the Aughton Male Choir.

The Christmas carol concert is at the practice rooms on Monday 3rd December at 7pm. All welcome.
