Cwmbran Brass
At a special meeting between Cwmbran Band and Cwmbran Youth Band in April 2006 the committee members of each band decided that the two bands should amalgamate and be called Cwmbran Brass.
Initially Cwmbran Brass will be involved in concert work and will continue to play in the community and further a field, but our aim is to start contesting.
The Conductor of Cwmbran Brass is Andrew Lucas who has had much experience in the brass band world and is very committed member of the band. We are very fortunate to have Debbie Norman as the tutor of the learners section and is well liked and respected by all the young people and older members of the band.
Rehearsals are held every Wednesday and Friday for both the learners and the senior bands. The learners time for rehearsal is 5.45pm - 6.45pm and the senior rehearsals from 7.00pm - 8.30pm on both days.
We would like to invite anyone interested in learning to play brass instrument to come along to the learners rehearsal - However if you are an experienced brass instrument player we will be equally pleased to see you at our senior band practice.
