Big Brother 8
Big Brother 9 Quest For Housemates Has Began
Well it's finally over or is it? On the same day that Brian was declared the winner of Big Brother 8 the Channel 4 website announced that the quest to find the housemates for Big Brother 9 had already began.
The Big Brother auditions will be different this year in that they will be held earlier than ever before and will be held on weekends rather than weekdays - so no need to throw a sickie and hope that your boss doesn't find out this year.
However if you want be a housemate you will still need to attend an open audition in one of these cities Glasgow, Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, London, Manchester or Newcastle. The auditions will start in the first city on Saturday 24th November 2007, at approximately 9am - details of each audition date and exact location will be announced on the Channel 4 website and on Channel 4, shortly. Good Luck!!
Big Brother 8 Launch Tonight!!
Well it's that time of the year again where a lot of us forsake the British Summer weather to huddle up before our television sets to watch other people - deprived of their television set and all contact with the outside world - who have been brought together to satisfy our voyeuristic pleasures.
In english that means that - instead of twitching curtains to see what the neighbours are getting up to and letting our imaginations run wild with every overheard word - if we want to we can sit and watch a group of people living a confined existence. Yes, Big Brother has returned to our screens.
Now that news will either fill you with happiness or even dread but no matter which you will not be able to escape what goes on in the house as it is sure to be covered by all of the tabloid newspapers - eager for scandal - and if Celebrity Big Brother is anything to go by it will probably hit the evening news and debate programmes and chat shows as well.
Love it or hate it Big Brother does have a good side. It does make us take a very long hard look at society and our own reactions to situations and - although the contestants that they choose are not stereotypical of our society - the things that they do and say can be a perfect catalyst for conversations with our teenage children about what is considered acceptable behaviour. On a more negative note they can make unacceptable behaviour appear acceptable. Whether or not this programme is worth watching is up to you.
I created this page so that those of you who want to can keep up-to-date on what is happening on Big Brother and those of you who don't want to, will know what programmes and websites to watch or which ones to avoid. Use the links below to access forums, websites and other Big Brother information.
