Cwmbran Photographic Society
The Cwmbran Photographic Society was formed in 1955 as the Cwmbran Camera Club and now meets, under its new name, at Cwmbran Community Centre, Ventnor Road Old Cwmbran (behind the Council House).
We meet every Wednesday 7.30 to 9.00pm September to July, Christmas and New Year excepted.
The Society is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain as a member of the Welsh Photographic Federation.
The aim of the Cwmbran Photographic Society is to further the enjoyment of photography, in all its aspects, in an informal and friendly atmosphere, by providing as varied and interesting a programme as possible.
To this end we hold monthly print and slide competitions which are judged by in-house and outside judges, points being awarded towards end of year trophies.
We also take part in friendly "battles" with other local clubs at both home and away venues.
