Torfaen Biodiversity Partnership

Torfaen Biodiversity

The Torfaen Biodiversity Action Plan

Torfaen Biodiversity Partnership is producing a new Biodiversity Action Plan which will coordinate all actions for biodiversity in Torfaen.

We will be holding a number of pre-consultation workshops across the county borough over the next 3 months to effectively communicate the message to Torfaen’s residents so they are well informed and prepared before the consultation process commences. Ideally, we would like to engage as much support as possible because after all we all depend on biodiversity.

There will then be a 3 month consultation on the draft document in June 2011 and an updated report will be produced once complete and taken to the cabinet in late 2011 recommending that it be adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance.

The draft consultation on the Biodiversity Action Plan will be available through the Torfaen 'My Say' website. If you would like to find out more about the Biodiversity Action Plan please contact Steve Williams on 01633 648256 or e-mail steve.williams@torfaen.gov.uk

The Draft Biodiversity Action Plan is timetabled for June 2011.

A copy of the Local Biodiversity Action Plan 2003 can be downloaded here as well as a copy of the Local Biodiversity Action Plan Summary document for reference.
