Rio Conventions’ Ecosystem Pavilion
The Pavilion will demonstrate, through thematic presentations, workshops and the worldwide web, the challenges facing biodiversity and land managers resulting from the unavoidable and projected adverse impacts of climate change.
Parties and organisations will profile activities that link biodiversity conservation and sustainable use, sustainable land management and efforts to combat desertification, and climate change mitigation and adaptation.
The multiple benefits derived from these activities and their contribution towards sustainable development and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) will also be presented.
