About Hermits

The HermitI bet you're wondering why this SCI-FI FANTASY site is run by a hermit. And if not, why not?

Hermits by definition are men or women who flee the company of their fellow humans to dwell alone in retirement. They often live in caves or in the desert and ponder on the meaning of life, the universe, and well just about everything.

Hermits are found all over the world in every culture and on one island in particular they have a very bad hermit problem. This is caused by a group of hermits and a very bad infectious disease, this is called the Hermit Epidemic (1).

Some people say that there is such a person as a shower challenged hermit. People forced into seclusion by work or family ties who forget to wash (2). Alas, on the subject of hygiene there is a really nasty little offender known as Social Hermits gum disease (3).

Herman's Hermits CoverYears ago when the universe was young a group of men got together to play music.

They were called after the leader of the band.

Called Hermans Hermits they became very successful and had a huge following of hermits

Hermits staple food is biscuits, and, consequently have their own particular brand of cookie which keeps them healthy and hearty in the seclusion of their own solitude.

Beware of the Fake hermit, those people who obsessively tend to their gardens.Beware of the Fake hermit, those people who obsessively tend to their gardens.

These people are on an entirely false offshoot of the Hermit family tree and should be approached with great care and gardening shears.

Hermits allow themselves only one companion, a crab, ahermit crab. These unassuming little creatures fit into the hermits lifestyle really well as they are dumb and therefore dont disturb the hermits meditation .

If all this exacting information has tickled your reclusive side and youd like to become a hermit you can find details on the web where modern hermits are offered sanctuary (4).

Alternatively, if youd like to find out more about life in exile you can contact the Society of Hermits in the local telephone book.

Finally in answer to the initial question about hermits running web sites.

A hermit is a happy, well rounded, sociable and genuinelyinterested person who will sift through the intergalactic cyber stream of data to give the Sci-Fi Fantasy website an unbiased overview.

Pheww! I think I'll go and have a biscuit.
