Cwmbran Modelling Society

Sailing Waters

Society Member sailing their model boat at Cwmbran Boating Lake

The club sails at Cwmbran Boating Lake, weather permitting, every Sunday morning from 9.00am to 1.00pm

We now also sail on Wednesday afternoons 12.30pm to 3.30pm

We also have permission on Wednesday to sail until close of park gates.

When the Council require to put their boats on the lake, school and bank holidays, we then finish at 12.30pm on Sundays and Wednesday sailing will then start at 6.00pm.

Model Club Boats

The society has purchased two model boats for the general public to use at our home lake site in Cwmbran Park.

The Society uses the small lake before the main lake, so sailing of these models by the general public does not interfere with the models being sailed on the main lake.

They are not available every Sunday, but we hope to have them available at least once a month, weather permitting.

On Sunday Club Sailing Days only - 10.00am - 1.00pm approx.

Please check with Club Members at the lake for next outing of club boats

Our gratitude is extended to local and national model shops and suppliers that assisted us in the building of these models along with donations received from Torfaen Council and the public.
