Formation
Abersychan & Garndiffaith Local History Group was formed in 1994 following a public meeting. It was called a group because we did not have a retired vicar and a retired headteacher to justify being called a society. Anyway, society would be too 'posh' for a valley mining area such as ours.
When and where we meet?
All meetings are held on the last Monday of the month, except when that Monday is a Bank Holiday when it changes to the previous Monday. The venue is the Veg Box building, Gelli Rhiwy Road, Garndiffaith, commencing at 7.00 pm. Newcomers are very welcome to attend. Membership is £5.00.
