The South East Wales Branch of the Military Vehicle Trust endeavours to promote the preservation of historic military vehicles in a relaxed and informal way. The emphasis here is on making the hobby fun and meeting like minded people from the Torfaen/Newport area.

The South East Wales branch of the MVT meet every third Thursday of the month at the Griffithstown Railway museum - anyone is welcome to attend and owning a military vehicle is not a pre-requisite of membership (but it certainly makes it more fun!).

Events

The South East Wales Branch of the Military Vehicle Trust is excited to announce a Military Vehicle Weekend from the 26th to the 28th May in the beautiful canal side setting of Goytre Wharf at the heart of the Brecon Beacons national park.

Building on the success of last year's Whitsun weekend event, there will be displays of vehicles ranging from the small to the enormous and from WWII up to the modern day together with living history groups.

Admission is free as is camping for exhibitors. The event opens at 10 am and closes at 430 pm.

Goytre Wharf offers a full range of refreshments, a fully licensed bar and an excellent restaurant set in an idyllic and tranquil location. If you have any queries about this year's event please contact the group using the contact form on the right of the page.

This promises to be a fun, yet informative weekend for all members of the family
