History

SWB WW2

I have been putting off doing this page.

Where do i start and where do i finish.

We represent the SWB when they landed on D-Day, but they where famous for there raid in Norway.

I think what i will do is list some excellent books and websites you can buy or visit and i will also write a brief but full account of their actions before D-Day and their history up until the day they where disbanded.

I think this is a project that is going to take a while so please bear with me and if you think i have missed or jumped to quickly then please let me now.

If anyone out there would like to take this project on please get in touch.

i think a picture can tell a story better then words so here are some to help you.

In the 1963 movie "Zulu!" starring Michael Caine, the Welsh troops sing this version of this song, just before the final charge mounted by the Zulu warriors.

Men of Harlech stop your dreaming
Can't you see their spear points gleaming
See their warrior pennants streaming
To this battle field

Men of Harlech stand ye steady
It cannot be ever said ye
For the battle were not ready
Stand and never yield

From the hills rebounding
Let this war cry sounding
Summon all at Cambria's call
The mighty force surrounding

Men of Harlech onto glory
This shall ever be your story
Keep these burning words before ye
Welshmen will not yield
