The South Wales Borderers Re-Enactment Group are a friendly group depicting The 2nd Battalion 24th Regiment of Foot, as they would have appeared in North West Europe circa 1944 -1945.

 

 

 

A small dedicated unit, accurately portraying

the normal "Tommy Soldier" of that day. Our

dress reflects the way fighting men looked

in action and at rest behind the lines

 

Our aim is to keep alive the memories of the men and women who served in World War II.

Along with other Battle Groups, we take part in public displays. Also, several times a year, we get to spend the weekend taking part in large battles. There will be British and American Units against a variety of German WW II re-enactment groups.

 

Events can involve over 250 men and women pitting their wits against each other. With explosions and gunfire all around you and the possibility of being outflanked by 150 German soldiers intent on taking you out of the battle you have to go for your objective or defend your lines.
