  Abersychan& Garndiffaith Local History Group was formed in 1994 following a public meeting. It was called a group because we did not have a retired vicar and a retired headteacher to justify being called a society. Anyway, society would be too 'posh' for a valley mining area such as ours. This site is aimed at members, local communities, and the descendants of the many people from this area who live all over the world.
