EGGRA
Ever wondered what your great grandfather did for a living, where he worked and went to school?
Did you realise your great grandmother may have worked as a servant for a select family, or even had a small business and had servants of her own. That they married in the Parish Church and all the family and friends wedding gifts were listed in the local newspaper for the neighbours to
envy? These are some of the interesting facts we may be able to trace for you in your Family History quest.
We hold the largest archive of Family History material for the Eastern Valley of Gwent. With over one million individuals amongst our vast Transcribed Indexes we can quickly search and provide family histories for those that lived and worked in Eastern Gwent.
Warren W Lewis| and Richard Roynon| formed the East Gwent Genealogy Research Agency (E.G.G.R.A.) several years ago. Between them they have over twenty-three years experience in genealogy, mainly covering the Eastern Valley of Gwent- Blaenavon in the North to Cwmbran in the South.
As from September 1st 2006, Richard will be resposible for the North part of the valley, ie, Blaenavon to Snatchwood of which all profits will be donated to St John's Church, Garndiffaith. While Warren shall be resposible for the southern end, Pontnewynydd to Llantarnam. All the donations
from Warren's research will be shared between Cancer Research UK and Gwent Cancer Support.
