Local Girls Take Part In New Years Eve 2005 Anthem

S4C has commissioned three brand new versions of the Welsh National Anthem, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau, to mark its 150th birthday in 2006. We're all familiar with the rousing melody composed by Evan and James James from Pontypridd, but the new versions are also sure to impress. You can hear the first version on S4C on New Years Eve on the stroke of midnight.

Three local girls took part in the filming but you will have to visit the Anthem link to find out who they were.

Good Year for Calendar Girls

Make a date with some of the sexiest girls around.

We couldn't let all the home-grown modelling talent we've discovered go to waste, so the Free Press is producing a calendar for 2006.

It will feature some of Torfaen's most beautiful girls, pictured in Torfaen's most beautiful settings.

The glossy, A4-sized calendar will be on sale in time for Christmas. It will be a non-profit making venture, with money from each one sold going to local charities.

So far, Lexy, Sophia Cahill, Hayley Jones and Emma Corten have all agreed to take part.

If you would like to model for it, get in touch with Free Press editor Andy Downie by e-mailing him at pontypoolnews@gwent-wales.co.uk|

Have You Pam's Bod?

We girls spend lots of time being concerned with our figures.

But instead of criticising, let's spread the body love.

You all have bodies like the stars - go on, see for yourself...

Post-Split Changes

Break-ups aren't just about the wreckage of broken hearts.

They also bring with them weight loss, haircuts and style transformations.

Y'see everyone wants to be a winner at the end of the day.

Early Screen Roles

Whit-woo missus, this is a racy movie role indeed.

Can you believe this is one Catherine Zeta-Jones?

You wouldn't catch this A-lister stripping down to just her shells these days.

The Art Of Being A Celeb

We know how you love to feast your eyes upon images of celebrities.

And if you're bored of photos, you'll be delighted at this little lot.

We've put together a rather high-brow collection of stars in art.

Who Shops In These?

A brave woman, that's who.

And she's not alone.

We've found a tribe of celebrities who find the idea of shopping in six inches fun.
