A Business information officer from Cwmbran is aiming to be crowned Miss Great Britain.
20-year-old Emma Gould, who works for business support agency Newport & Gwent Enterprise in New Inn, will be making her bid for fame at Creation in Cardiff this Friday night.
"I'm really excited at the prospect of winning the title," said Emma, who has been modelling for more than a year. "I made it to the South Wales interview stage for Miss Wales and I was also selected for the finals of Miss British Isles, so I'm hoping this time to make the breakthrough."
Emma has experience in promotional modelling and has recently been chosen to star in a big campaign for the new Hewlett & Packard photo studio camera.
She has also done work for Sunny D, Toyota and Powergen and was also in the running for UK photographic model of the Year 2005.
Emma's big break came in September 2004 when she was spotted at a car show in Weston-Super-Mare.
Since then, she dreams of making it big. "I am only looking at promotional modelling, catalogue and fashion," she said. "I am not looking to get into glamour modelling.
"My real ambition is to set up and run my own events management business, which I am in the process of looking into."
But for now, Emma is focusing on the Welsh finals of Miss Great Britain on Friday night.
Should she get through, the glamourous grand final takes place on Saturday February 25 2006 in the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in Mayfair, London.
