Asparagus- Asparagus is a rich source of folate and is a useful source of beta carotene, vitamin C and vitamin E. It is both mildly laxative and a diuretic.
Apple - apples are a good source of vitamin C and can be used to help in the treatment of constipation. It makes an ideal healthy snack and contains vitamin C which is an antioxidant and helps to maintain the immune system. They are low in calories. Choose one that is free from bruises and is firm to the touch. Organic ones are best but don't look as good to the eye.
Avocados - A rich source of vitamin E and a good source of potassium which can help to control blood pressure. It is high in monounsaturated fats which is thought to lower blood cholesterol levels. One downpoint however they can contain up to 400 calories per fruit!
