Pontypool Promo
Pontypool Carnival is always one of the most enjoyable family activities in the Pontypool Events calendar. This year it will be taking place on Saturday 14th of July and there will be lots of attractions to keep anyone of any age entertained.
This year attractions include a Kiddies Korner, Inflatables, Dancing, Music, Arts and Crafts Marquee, Demonstrations, Funfair, Story Telling, Charity & Trade Stalls and a new Music Dome Area.
The Webster Team will also be in attendance trying to raise money for their chosen charity Tenovus. In addition to offering businesses and community groups advice on how to create their own free website or promote themselves, their marquee will include a Tombola Stall and a Guess The Number of Sweets competition.
They will also be providing lots of other free activities for children. If you are feeling a little stressed you can try out a free alternative therapy session with one of their specialists – if your feet are aching from the
procession the foot massage comes highly recommended.
The procession starts 2.00pm from the Riverside Car Park. It then makes its way via Osbourne Road, George Street, Crane Street, "The Link", Glan Torfaen Road, Commercial Street, Park Road and then finishes in Pontypool Park.
Festivities end at 6pm.
The event is organised by Pontypool Community Council and Torfaen County Borough Council and supported by Pontypool Regeneration Partnership & Kier Western.
This year Pontypool Carnival is also supported by Mrs Vera Jones, Melin Homes, Pontypool Police, Pontypool Glazing, Pontypool Working Men’s Club, Watkins & Gunn Solicitors, Wilkinsons Stores, McDonalds Pontypool, Sweet Williams Flowers, St Albans RC School & Soundbase
