Actress Kate Winslet is to split from husband Sam Mendes

Kate Winslet has seperated from her husband Sam Mendes.

The 34-year-old actress and her director husband confirmed the news through their lawyers this afternoon.

"Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year," said their legal representatives Schillings.
