News from Newport branch

Our friends at the Newport branch have organised a Christmas party on Tuesday 28th November at Whiteheads club in Bassaleg. The invites are once again extended to all Cwmbran members, after the BBQ this summer, which was a resounding success.
The event is free of charge with entertainment and a buffet.
If any Cwmbran members are interested in going please contact Sally Bailey| by Sunday 19th November.
In addition the Newport branch have started a weekly drop-in centre at Shaftesbury Community Centre, Corner of Wheeler and Evans Street, Newport. Expert Patient Programme (EPP)

Long term health conditions
On the 14th December at Age Concern, Widdershins, Sebastopol, there will be a workshop on the 'Expert Patient Programme' (EPP). This session will highlight this very successful project that has been running within Torfaen and Monmouthshire for the past two years. The EPP can be of great value to anyone who has a long term condition and will help them to cope and self manage their condition. A long term condition can be for example: Depression, Multiple Sclerosis, Heart conditions or Eczema - anything that affects an individual's quality of life.

Christmas mid-day meal

Xmas meal
As last year proved to be a complete success the Drop-in members have planned another Christmas mid-day meal at Greenmeadow golf club, Cwmbran on Monday 18th December. Places are limited, so please contact Sally Bailey| to reserve a place.
The meal is open to all branch members and everyone is most welcome.
