National Foundation For Educational Research - Homework Review
This review was commissioned by Ofsted.
It set out to identify the best evidence from recent research into homework. It considered research literature published between 1988 (the year of the Education Reform Act) and 2001.
The review also considered literature reviews and Ofsted reports published immediately before 1988, in order to take account of the findings from previous research.
