Blaenavon World Heritage Day Parade

The highlight of the day was the heritage costume parade which was led by children from Hillside and St Peter’s school. The costumes featured miners’ canaries, furnaces and machinery all representing aspects of Blaenavon’s industrial history.

Councillor Neil Lewis, Chairman of Blaenavon World Heritage Committee, said: "I would like to say a big thank you to all those who contributed to making the day a huge success." Next years event takes place on Saturday 30 June.
