Pontypool Shopmobility

A six month trial shopmobility scheme is being run in Pontypool. The free service operates from 126 Osbourne Road, a small kiosk at the entrance to the enclosed walkway leading through to Riverside multi-storey car park.

It is open two days per week on Thursday and Friday from 10am to 4.30pm. The trial will discover the demand for a service and if it can continue permanently.

Anyone interested in borrowing a scooter to use in the town will need to book by calling 01495 766297. Staff will provide full training. Volunteers are also needed to help run the scheme. If you want to volunteer call the same number.

It is being funded by Torfaen Council and the town’s Regeneration Partnership. It is being run as a partnership between Torfaen Council and Torfaen Community Transport.
