New website
THE official website of Torfaen Council – Torfaen Today - is being redesigned and will be ready in January 2007. The site has been rebuilt to make it easier for customers to use.
It will have a superb search facility and a comprehensive site map. An online A-Z of Council services will be developed to include more online services.
Services currently available online are:
-
Paying council tax, business rates, housing rents, Council water rates, housing benefit overpayments and Council invoices.
-
Reporting street lights and abandoned cars.
-
Searching, reserving and renewing library books.
-
Reporting housing repairs (council tenants and leaseholders).
-
Making complaints.
-
Applications for van permits to use the New Inn household waste and recycling centre.
Visit the site to find out useful information on the Council, its services and the community projects that are being planned and delivered. The site will keep you up to date on some of the key decisions being made by your Councillors to regenerate Torfaen.
And don’t forget to visit www.webster.uk.net – Torfaen’s online community portal - which has also been redesigned. It brings together everything that’s going on in Torfaen into one unique and interactive place. Community groups, businesses and voluntary organisations not only help to build content, but also use it to look for everyday services and information. You can find local events, search for a job and much more.
If you are a member of a club, group, run a local business or just have a hobby that you want to write about, you too can have your own free, easy to use website and training to build it.
For more information, visit the site, email contact@webster.uk.net or call 01495 766300.
