BBC Wales weatherman in Blaenavon

A walk in the stunning landscape around Blaenavon is featured in a new companion book to a television programme fronted by BBC Wales weatherman Derek Brockway.

The TV personality is holding a book signing at Brownings Bookshop in Blaenavon on Saturday 13 January from 11-1pm.

The book features the seasonal walks he took in his TV series “Weatherman Walking”, a follow on to his successful Radio Wales programme. Blaenavon is featured in the Winter episode, with Fiona Ford, a Torfaen Council Countryside Access Officer, guiding Derek around the spectacular snowy landscape.

At the book signing, people will be able to pick up a free Blaenavon walks’ pack which contains leaflets covering seven routes around the World Heritage Site. The lengths vary from three to 14 miles.
