Service Plans
At the same time as the annual Risk Assessment is being developed Torfaen Council also produces it's Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) setting out how the services we provide will be delivered in the coming 12 months. This is a critical part of our planning process which amongst other things helps us to decide where we need to develop as an organisation.
The SIPs focus on the how each Service Area will contribute to delivering on the outcomes set out in the Council's Corporate Plan. The developing SIPs are also linked with the Risk Assessment as those areas classified as being at high risk by default require attention during the year ahead. Within each plan targets and milestones for the year ahead are stated, achievements from the previous year are included and explained and areas of organisational development in the coming 12 months are investigated. The resulting Service Plans also satisfy our reporting requirements that we have under the Welsh Assembly Government's Wales Programme for Improvement|.
