What is SNAP Cymru?
SNAP Cymru is a Charity that offers information and support to families of children and young people who have special educational needs. These may be additional learning needs or disability.
SNAP Cymru is the leading provider of Parent Partnership Services in Wales, giving thousands of families information, advice and support every year.
What can SNAP Cymru do?

Talk with you about your concerns.

Help you understand how your child can be helped.

Help you write down your views about your child.

Help your child express their view and have their voice heard.

Help you prepare for meetings, school visits, and discussions with professionals who are working with your child.

Attend meetings with you when appropriate.

Give you information about the services in your area and how you might be able to find the support you need.

Volunteering
SNAP Cymru was set up as a registered charity in 1986; it is a parent-led organisation, managed by a board of trustees who meet as a National Executive Committee.
Volunteers are needed to help this valuable service in the following areas, to provide a listening ear for families, fundraising, marketing, events co-ordinating and general administration duties.

SNAP Cymru deliver a wide curriculum of training opportunities throughout Wales via structured units, workshops and information sessions.
Our extensive programmes are designed to help achieve the inclusion agenda by developing knowledge and skills and raising awareness to the benefits of partnership working within our communities, particularly in relation to additional learning needs, disability and inclusion.
Experienced trainers plan and deliver a rolling programme for: Parents, Carers, Foster Carers, Young People, Early Years providers, Schools, Colleges, Governors, Youth Services, Youth Offending Teams, Volunteers, SNAP Cymru staff and other agency professionals.
