Aneurin Bevan Court Residents Association Group meets second Wednesday of every month at 10:30am.
Aneurin Bevan Court was built in 1988 as a sheltered housing complex for the over 60's. In 1995 Gwerin Housing Association took over the scheme from "Wales and West Housing Ass" and in April 2007 Gwerin Housing and Eastern Valley Housing Association merged and became Melin Homes Ltd.
In Jan 2000 A.B.C.we formed a Resident's Association with a Constitution and 7 volunteers formed a committee. We started going on day trips in the summer of 2000. It was then decided to add a social side to enlarge our group by inviting a friend for each Resident which increased our number to approx 50. We Started applying for grants from "Awards for All" and had some luck and added 4/5 day breaks to our activities. We now go on Day trips, Theatre Trips as well as the holiday breaks every year.
