We offer disability access audits and disability awareness training to service providers. We employ a trained Access Auditor and carry a £5million indemnity policy. We have worked in partnerships with Torfaen County Borough Council and the Welsh Tourist Board.

 

Access Auditing

Access Audit Type 1

1. Identification, measurement and assessment of compliance of physical features
2. Recommend solutions where physical features do not comply
3. Prioritisation of required alterations
4. Advice on access management issues
5. Verbal report conducted with the client, whilst auditing the premises, with the assistance of a comprehensive checklist for the retention of the client
6. Further standard information available if required (e.g. automatic doors)

 

Access Audit Type 2

1. This encompasses type 1 plus
2. Identification, measurement and assessment of compliance of physical features
3. Recommend solutions where physical features do not comply
4. Prioritisation of required alterations
5. Advice on access management issues
6. Full written report

 

Type 1 audits have the advantage of being much cheaper as they do not include the expense associated with the production of a full written report. With type 2 audits there is the added assurance of a written report and the convenience of physical copies when dealing with builders, grant providers etc.
