At The Third Stroke

At The Third Stroke

Image 001HI, and a very warm welcome to AT THE THIRD STROKE . To those of you expecting the 'Speaking Clock' we apologise, and to those of you expecting page after page of medical text and long-winded explanations of what a 'Stroke' is and how you go about getting or avoiding one, we also apologise AT THE THIRD STROKE is designed to inform anyone interested about what it is like to experience and survive a STROKE, or two, or three and more. If you are the Carer of a Stroke Survivor then hopefully this page will also be of use and interest to you?

You will see from my account of my first Stroke that the event itself can be quite frightening, is definitely confusing, but is possible to survive, and there can definitely be life after a Stroke. Thirteen years and five Strokes later, I'm still here, and only just becoming aware of the help and support that exists, but in my case at least, has been well hidden, and not really readily accessible, and that is basically the reason that AT THE THIRD STROKE has been created..

We would like to share your experiences and to help you to come to terms with your Stroke and the effects that overtake almost every aspect of life after a Stroke. Of course there is a funny side, and if you haven't found yours yet, then we hope that we can help.

Just thinking about what want to type is difficult when you've suffered a Stroke, typing, reading, and getting it online is something else entirely, so we hope that you will endure the periods between articles without getting too bored or fed-up to wait.

We will try to give you some links to other Stroke related websites just as soon as we can, and would welcome new members to this page whether you would like to share your stories with the world or not??

Please feel to contact us or join our page, we look forward to hearing from you.
