Ponthir Community Council
Community:
Representing residents’ views, monitoring environmental problems, reviewing planning applications and representing Ponthir on external bodies etc. The Community Police Officer regularly attends Council Meetings to discuss traffic and other Police related matters.
Finance:
Grants to voluntary organisations, minor works/environmental improvements.
The council normally meets at 7.15 pm in the village hall on the second Wednesday of every month. There is no meeting in August.
To cope with extra business a number of supplementary meetings may be held. In addition we liaise closely with the community police and 'Surgeries' are held as and when requested either by the Community Councillors or local reisdents.
Anyone intending to attend one of these supplementary meetings should first contact the clerk to make sure that the meeting will be held.
All Ponthir residents are invited to attend any of the Council Meetings.
If you want to raise any item for the agenda you should put it in writing to, or email, the clerk (see the Contacts page for details).
