Community Task Force
Cwmbran Community Council's Task Force was set up over 15 years ago to provide a basic gardening and interior decorating service for Cwmbran Community Council area residents, particularly for folks who are elderly, infirmed or disabled.
Operating throughout the year our small, friendly Task Force carry out basic gardening (mowing, strimming, hedge cutting) and interior decorating services in the community (gardening in Spring, Summer and early Autumn; decorating in late Autumn, Winter and Spring). Although the services are available to all the Task Force was established to help older and less able residents who were worried that they were no longer able to continue to undertake these tasks.
Costs are staggered, not on ability to pay, but on age and/or infirmity/disability.
Experienced Mike Perry and Dave Stokes have both worked for the Task Force for some years and not only aim to provide a quality service but are sensitive to the needs of t hose having work undertaken and, according to numerous letters of appreciation, "they are thoroughly thoughtful, courteous and kind." Mike and Dave always give of their best and members of the Task Force Committee are always pleased to hear of the benefit and peace of mind this service gives to hundreds of Cwmbran Community Council residents. The demand is always strong so some waiting may be inevitable (especially for decorating) so please be patient
as we strive to help as many as possible throughout the Cwmbran Community Council area.
