Vision and Goals
The Partnership Board's vision and goals are the shared values and the core objectives which will be pursued throughout the life of the Communities First programme in the Thornhill area.
The Board has based the following statement on detailed consultations involving local residents, and professionals who work in the area, on the Community Audit, on the Board's own planning meetings, and on the principles laid down for Communities First by the Welsh Assembly Government.
The Vision
The Partnership Board's vision for Thornhill is to ensure that it is an area which:

is an attractive, colourful, accessible and safe place to live

has a healthy environment and provides care for people who need help

can provide the social and recreational facilities which all its residents need, including the young, the elderly and the disabled

has a lively commercial centre at the heart of the community

Provides opportunities for people to find suitable employment and training.
