Reiki Healing

What is Reiki?

Reiki is the Japanese art of natural healing. Its name means "Universal Life Force". It is the "All-powerful Force" which governs the whole world.

Reiki has been around in the East for thousands of years, but was only brought to the West in the 1970s, by Mrs. Hawayo Takata.

All living things are made of energy, including human beings, and they require energy to mend and maintain them. Reiki is that energy.

How does Reiki work?

The most commonly-known way is the "contact" or "hands on" method, whereby the Reiki healer's hands are placed in the different positions on the body to allow energy to feed into the body. The energy is intelligent and goes to where it is needed.

What does Reiki do?

Reiki balances the energy body and unblocks any obstructions which may be present. By doing this, it corrects any ailments in the physical body.

It is a truly Holistic (Greek - HOLOS = whole) therapy. Many people will resolve long-standing problems, change eating habits, or their way of life after receiving Reiki.

When receiving Reiki, people's respiration slows down, blood pressure lowers, emotional calming occurs and Chakra and Aura energies are balanced; thus the body's natural healing process is speeded up. The effects of Reiki are many, but it leaves the person receiving it feeling a deep sense of inner peace and calmness.

Reiki is used to treat many ailments including stress, Sinusitis, menstrual problems, Cystitis, back and neck problems, headaches, Migraine, tension, anxiety, Insomnia, Sciatica, Asthma, M.E., Psoriasis, constipation, stomach problems and chronic ailments.
