Greenmeadow Community Farm

Bottle feeding

***Currently closed to the public due to COVID, please ensure you check direct with the Farm before planning a visit***

Please be aware that we are currently closed to ALL volunteering placements. We have provision in place to ensure our animals are well cared for and we ask for our volunteers to please heed current government COVID guidance and stay at home. We greatly miss your help and enthusiasm but we know that the right thing to do is to ask you to stay away at this time.

Without the work of volunteers Greenmeadow Community Farm would not be the thriving and busy place that it is today.

You may be surprised to know that it's not just the animal care that we need help with ... there's alot more going on on the farm and behind the scenes which include the following areas:

  • Education
  • Gardening & Grounds Maintenance
  • Office Administration
  • Catering
  • Retail
  • Marketing & Events

The key qualities we look for in a volunteer include:

  • Enthusiasm
  • Flexibility
  • Willingness to learn
  • Motivation
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Proactive
  • Desire to make every customer's experience memorable for all the right reasons!

The minimum age for volunteering is 14 and 14-16 year olds can carry out supervised volunteering with our staff. Over 16 year olds can volunteer also. There is normally a waiting list to volunteer with us.  If you or your child would like to volunteer, please call the farm to register your interest on (01633) 647662 or email using the address below.
