JULY & AUGUST

Saturday 22nd July - Sunday 3rd September - SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Loads of fun to be had all day every day of the summer holidays and keep an eye out for our Wonderful Wednesdays of Summer which will have a different theme each week:

What's On for Week Four of Summer (Saturday 12th August - Friday 18th August)

10.00 Farm Opens

10:30 - 12:30   Cuddle Corner – come and have a cwtch with and get to know some of our smaller animals 

11:30 Milking Demonstration – see our lovely Dairy Cow ‘Dipsy’ being milked and learn about all things milk! 

12:00 Hop aboard the Tractor & Trailer Ride 

12:30 - 13:30 Mini-beast Hunting & Pond Dipping - release your inner explorer; how many mini beasts will you find?!?

13:00 - 16:00 Craft – make your own animal mobile!  Why not enter your artwork as an exhibit to  the Greenmeadow show for just 25p?  Cash prizes to be won! 

14:00 Hop aboard the Tractor & Trailer Ride

14:30 Duck Agility—our gorgeous Runner Ducks have been in training and are ready to practice their skills!  Come along and see how they get on 

15:00 - 16:30 Cuddle Corner – come and have a cwtch with and get to know some of our smaller animals 

15:30 Exotic Encounter—come and meet some of our more unusual residents! (Book in Shop)

16:00 Hop aboard the Tractor & Trailer Ride 

16:30 Chicken Teatime – help us give our chirpy chooks a tasty  treat! 

17:00 Farm closes…time for the animals to hit the hay before their next busy day, Zzzz….

15:30 Muddy Play — join us for some good old fashioned muddy fun as you explore our woodland area

16:00 Hop aboard the Tractor & Trailer Ride 

16:30 Piggy Teatime – help us give our perky porcines a delicious teatime treat!

17:00 Farm closes…time for the animals to hit the hay before their next busy day, Zzzz….

Wednesday 23rd August - Tractor Ted Tour
We absolutely ADORE Tractor Ted here at Greenmeadow Community Farm and are delighted to be part of his 2017 Summer Tour once again! Join us for some Ted Bouncy Fun, Ted's Digger Den and more!

Wednesday 30th August - Teddy Bears Picnic/Into The Woods
If you go down to the woods today...be sure to have lots of fun!  Bring your teddy for a fun day out and enjoy lots of fun teddy themed activities throughout the day!  Join in with the Teddy Bear Games...classes to include Best Dressed Teddy, Cuddliest Teddy, Teddy the Judge would most like to take home, Nicest Eyes and Teddy most like their Owner

SEPTEMBER

Sunday 10th September - FAMILY FUNDAY/THE GREENMEADOW SHOW featuring the HORTICULTURAL & CRAFT SHOW

A fantastic Family day out for all.  Our annual craft and horticultural show is a great day to be involved in and you can enter your own exhibits to win cash prizes!  Even if you are not entering anything into the show, it's still a great day to come along and have some good old fashioned fun!  And the best bit?  Half price admission!  What's not to love?  For the full Show Programme, please see the Greenmeadow Show page of the website

OCTOBER

Saturday 21st October - Young Farmer for a Day - (suitable age 4-8) - for more details please see Farmer for a Day page

Saturday 28th October - Sunday 5th November - AUTUMN HALF TERM

Tuesday 31st October - HALLOWEEN FUN FOR LITTLE ONES (10am - 3pm)

NB Farm closes at 3.30pm to put the finishing touches in place for our HALLOWEEN SPOOKTAKULAR (details below)

Tuesday 31st October - HALLOWEEN SPOOKTAKULAR - starts at 6pm

DECEMBER

CHRISTMAS AT GREENMEADOW 

A magical time of year at the Farm when our favourite visitor takes up residence in his cosy farm grotto.  Father Christmas will be welcoming school groups & prebooked groups of 10 or more from Monday 27th November - please call for details (01633 647662)

His visiting hours for general visitors are 10am - 4pm on the following days:

We are delighted to welcome back the Lylac Ridge Reindeer on Sundays 10th & 17th & Saturday 23rd

Farm closed for deep cleaning and winter maintenance, we will miss you!

FEBRUARY

Join us for February Half-term fun & frolics!

MARCH

MOTHERING SUNDAY - we don't know about you but we don't know where we'd be without our darling Mums!  As a thank you to Mums everywhere we welcome Mums and Grandmothers to a visit on us on this special day.

Why not try our special Mothering Sunday Trail and learn all about the lovely Mums right here on the Farm?!

Baby & Toddler Tuesdays

Every Tuesday from February to November is  Baby & Toddler day - targeted at infants and pre school children with an array of additional exciting activities.  They will recommence on Tuesday 7th February 2017 - please check the Baby & Toddler Tuesday page of this website for updates. You can also 'Like' our Baby & Toddler Tuesdays Facebook page.

Gwent Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers

The object of the Guild is for the preservation & improvement of craftmanship in hand weaving, spinning & dyeing for the benefit of the members and the promotion of public awareness in such craftsmanship. Meetings are held at the Farm on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays from 10am February to December inclusive.  Their events diary for 2017 will be advertised soon!

Happy Hands Club at Pontypool Active Living Centre
