August 2016 - The Bartons - Cwmbran (stayed while looking for new house)

Lovely cottage very practical and easy. Lovely new TV. Could do with updating the cutlery please.

(response: the cutlery provided is up to 4 star grading requirements however top quality cutlery is available on request and the payment of a bond due to the high number of items that mysteriously go missing lol)

The Thompsons and Mauvers - Guernsey (rented both Hawthorn and Blackthorn Lodges)

Enjoyed our stay and arrived late and left early but arrangements for access were excellent. Would recommend to friends.

Easter Weekend - The Barstow Family 

Had another fabulous stay. Cannot fault Hawthorn Lodge maso are wonderful thank you so much for the additional logs. The cottage remained warm throughout.

December 2015 - Harrow London

We had a lovely 3 day stay in this cottage. This is a very comfortable place. 'Lots of scenic places around. Will visit again. Joe and Julia are very sweet to accommodate us on Christmas Day. We just had great time here.

August 2015 - Bob, Maddy, Nick and Cyril - Ipswich

We have had a lovely week. Plenty to see and do. Cottage is very nice too. Plenty of peace and quiet. Good food at Golf Club.

Our fourth visit to Blackthorn Meadow and first visit to Hawthorn Lodge. A wonderful break as always. Looking forward already to our next visit :) :) :)Delightful break in this comfortable, well equipt cottage. Lovely surroundings and we felt very welcome. There are so many places to visit from here.

Lovely weekend stay in this lovely well equipt house Faith (1 year old) loved having the space both inside and out and talking to the chickens.

Suffrage -Textiles Exhibition

Textiles celebrating 100 years of women's suffrage. An exhibition focusing on textile art and political expression to mark the Centenary of Women's Suffrage. In the early 20th Century women used skills learned at home to give voice to their political struggle; in aprons, ribbons and banners they visually propelled their call for universal suffrage to a wider audience.
