Our toddlers gain experiences from playing within a safe, structured and fun environment with staff who guenuinly care

The toddler group, run by Vicky and Jody, caters for children between the ages of  2 to 3 years. The group is very busy with lots of fun planned activities every day, its no wonder most of the children need a nap at lunch time !

The toddler group are based on the lower floor of the building along side the pre school group and have lots of different areas to use throughout the day, such as the imagination room, snug, construction room, art room and garden. The toddlers have a timetable to ensure they get lots of variety mingled in with rest and quiet times. Pontypool park is right on our door step and is used frequently by the group for nature hunts, walks, games and education as well as the local library.

The toddlers have a break of toast, fruit and a drink at 9.30am, fresh home cooked dinner at noon and a snack at 3.30pm, consisting of a variety such as fruit, sandwiches, yoghurt.

When a new toddler starts at the Nursery it is very important for them to visit a few times before hand so they get used to the environment and the people who will be caring for them. Visits are planned for parents to leave their child for an hour or two at a time to ease them in gradually to the Nursery so they will be more confident on their first day. Settling in sessions are free of charge.

Daily Timetable

This is a sample of the toddlers daily routine. It is subject to change depending on the individual children's needs but every week Vicky makes a plan detailing what activities they wish to carry out and what areas of development they wish to centre on particularly. These activities are then carried out through the week.
