Cariad Bach offers 9 childcare places a day offering an intimate and personal relationship with parents and children. We are open 5 days a week from 8:00 a.m to 5:30 p.m all year round, only closing for national bank holidays.
L. Christine Jones is a member of the Torfaen Approved "Children come first" Childminding Network, and meets the NCMA's Quality Standards of Good Practice. She also has a certificate for outstanding achievement and commitment in childcare from Torfaen Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership.
A well balanced, healthy, varied menu is available: breakfast - lunch - light tea - snack. The daily menu is on a chalk board for parents to see. There is also a main daily diary kept for parents where events of the day will be listed and any information that the parents need to know. The children aged below 18 months can bring their own diary for staff to record meal times, sleep times e.t.c.
We offer a homely but structered environment enabling us to nuture a child's all round development. We provide opportunities for children to participate and enjoy first hand learning experiences, creating situations which encourage each child to pursue his or her own natural curiosity and self expression. This builds and encourages skills of independance, language, stimulating muscle development, coordination and socialisation.
We prepare the children for a smooth, happy transition into mainstream school. We aim to provide this within a family atmosphere of harmony, tenderness, warmth and safety for the care of each child. Every child is different; they all have individual needs, and some children have extra special needs. Each child is entitled to equal access to opportunities. The staff will treat every child with equal concern, to meet their indvidual needs, with regard to racial origin, culture, religion, language, gender, special educational needs age and attainment.
