La Pinotais
La Pinotais is buried in the countryside of Northern Brittany, just 2 hours from Caen, or 3 hours from Chergbourg.
The property is owned by Barry and Margaret Collin, who left South Wales to live permanently in France some 14 years ago. They have painstakingly and lovingly restored the 400 year old house so that it is now a superb home of the highest standards.
They offer quiet accommodation in the form of a quaint 1 bedroomed cottage adjoining the main house. You can either immerse yourself in doing absolutely nothing, or relax watching satellite television, videos or dvd's.
If country cooking is your thing - there are abundant fresh vegetables and meats for you to create your culinary masterpiece in the well equipped kitchen.
For those who want total pampering, Mags is a fantastic cook, and specialises in using the vegetables fresh from their own garden. Barry will indulge you further with a marvellous selection of French wines to compliment your meal.
If you do manage to leave the premises, the scenery around makes stunning walks, slightly undulating, but nothing too strenuous.
Further afield you can explore the marvellous old town of Dinan, or visit Rennes with its cosmopolitan centre in stark contrast to it's tudor quarters. Mont St Michel is a only a short drive, and well worth a look.
