How we can tailor the experience to your need
Teambuilding
If your aim is to enhance what your workgroup does through them understanding more about how they work together, what they each bring to the group, and have a greater insight into the skills that each person brings rather than merely an assumption which is based on a person’s job task, the experience can be tailored to this. If you wish to set about a new project in which better team understanding will improve the project’s potential we can tailor the experience differently.
For each of these, the teambuilding day will have impact which will last well into the future because it will have been focussed in their real experience.
Action Learning
If you want the experience to be part of a longer process of development, particularly where your group members come from different parts of the same organisation, working at a similar level or, at least, on different tasks or where participants come from different organisations which are working in partnership you may want to enter into a longer process of an Action Learning Set. Action Learning is a well tested method of enabling people to ‘think out of the box’, test ideas on each other, return to them with how those ideas have worked, and seek to further improve.
All of this is done in a safe environment in which supportive and constructive criticism is key to success. Your set will learn by doing and therefore be unlike many training courses in which people take away what they can dependent upon what they found to be relevant to their need. Action Learning is totally relevant to the need of the set since its members bring their needs directly to it and generate their own learning. They may research areas for themselves or bring in ‘experts’ to the set if they feel this is necessary.
After the Chocolate Teambuilding Experience
If you decide Action Learning is for you, or you want to follow up the teambuilding, the amount of external help you need with your team or Action Learning Set is up to you. This could be none if you feel you have gained enough following your day with us; it could be in an advisory capacity, external to the group; or it could be as the set facilitator until they wish to do this for themselves. Generally this will depend on their personal confidence. The extent to which you wish us to remain involved with you in this is therefore completely negotiable.
